Broken glassunder my barefoot feet
are my failures
that accompany me
digging in
deeper and deeper
with each step
reminding me
how little I've achieved
in all these years
trying
to dig out
the pieces
to start again
with firm step
and continue my course
without pain
on the instep of my soul
